Where's My Model Number?
Suburban Water Heater
The model and serial number information can be located by opening the water heater access door on the outside of your RV. The silver colored data plate with black printing is located on the right side of the metal control housing as you face it from the outside. The model number will be located on the top line of the data plate and will begin with "SW" or "V". The nine digit serial number will be on the bottom line.
Suburban IW60 ON DEMAND Water Heater
The model and serial number information can be located on the left front edge of the cabinet. The serial number will be nine digits with a letter Z at the end.
Suburban Cooking Products (Range/Slide-in Cooktop/Drop-in Cooktop)
The model number and serial number information can be located by removing the top of the appliance. The top may be held in place by two thumb screws or by a spring clip above the front panel. The silver colored data plate with black printing which contains the model and serial number is located in the center of the appliance on the bottom surface where the top burners are mounted. The model number will begin with "SR", "SC" or "SD". The serial number will have nine digits.
Suburban Furnace that blows heated air through a grille
The model number and serial number information can be located by removal of the painted metal grille secured to the furnace. The metal grille can be detached by removing the two screws from the front of the grille. The silver colored data plate with black printing will be located on the right side of the furnace combustion chamber assembly as you look at the appliance. The model number will be located on the data plate and will begin with "NT", "GT" or "DD". The serial number will have nine digits.
NOTE: Furnaces manufactured prior to 1990 will not have a nine digit serial number. Data plate will include code of three letters and six digits for the serial number.
Ducted Suburban Furnace
To locate the model and serial number on a furnace you will first need to access the front of the furnace cabinet inside the coach. This may require you to remove the louvered door/panel that covers the furnace opening. Once access to the furnace is provided, remove the two screws that secure the metal front to the cabinet. The silver colored data plate with black printing will be located on the front surface of the furnace combustion chamber assembly. The model number will be located on the data plate and will begin with "NT or "SF. The serial number will have nine digits.
NOTE: Furnaces manufactured prior to 1990 will not have a nine digit serial number. Data plate will include date code of three letters and six digits for the serial number.
Ducted Suburban Furnace with an Outside Access Door
This model furnace has the model and serial number in two locations. To locate the model and serial number on a furnace from the inside coach you will first need to access the front of the furnace cabinet inside the coach. Once access to the furnace is provided, remove the two screws that secure the metal front to the cabinet. The silver colored plate with black printing will be located on the front surface of the furnace combustion chamber assembly. The model number will be located on the data plate and will behind with "SF". The serial number will have nine digits.
The location of the other model and serial number plate can be accessed by removing the exterior door or access panel. This door or access panel should be only removed by a qualified RV technician.
