Marvair, a division of Airxcel, today announced Vikas Dhummi, Senior Mechanical Engineer, has been named to the IWCE Young Professionals Awards list, which showcases the next-generation of leaders in the communications technology industry who are shaping the future of the industry.
Starting with a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Vikas went on to pursue advanced knowledge in Fluid Dynamics, Structural Analysis and Heat Transfer by earning a Master’s degree from Syracuse University in New York.
After applying for a patent on an induction unit he developed, Vikas discovered his great interest in HVAC, which led him to join commercial/industrial HVAC manufacturer Marvair in Cordele, GA. At Marvair, Vikas applies his talents towards building better heating and cooling products with higher energy efficiency.
Vikas finds amusement in performing CFD simulations used to solve heat and flow problems and works closely with other members of Marvair’s Engineering department to continuously improve the energy efficiency and performance of the entire Marvair product portfolio.
Vikas lives in Warner Robins, GA with his wife and son. He loves to play tennis and enjoy taking pictures while traveling. While Thai cuisine is his favorite, he’s always open to try new items on the menu as long as it’s vegetarian. One of his personal goals is to travel to places around the world and learn from various cultures.
“Marvair has an exceptionally diverse and talented Engineering Department. We’re very proud of the contributions Vikas makes as a member of that team,” states Thompson Matambo, Vice President of Engineering for Marvair. “Considering his talents and abilities, his inclusion in the IWCE Young Professionals Awards list really comes as no surprise.”
“We are passionate about the communications technology industry and we believe our list of winners will make a significant mark on our industry,” said Stephanie McCall, Show Director, IWCE. “We congratulate all of the professionals we’ve recognized, and we look forward to watching them chart the course for the industry in the years to come.”
The IWCE Young Professional Awards recognize young professionals under 35 who have made a significant contribution in his or her company or agency and works in the communications technology industry. These individuals are executing some of the most innovative ideas, showing creativity and initiative.
Vikas will be formally recognized at IWCE 2017, the premier annual event for communications technology professionals. In addition, they will also be featured on IWCE’s website and in IWCE’s Urgent Communications.
